As veterinary students transition from their third year of study to their fourth, they move into the clinical part of their education. At this juncture, an annual White Coat Ceremony takes place, where the students receive the medical white coat—the symbol of professionalism and empathy in the practice of medicine. This event is an acknowledgment and acceptance of professional values, growth and commitment as students assume the responsibilities and obligations of the practice of veterinary medicine before supportive witnesses. Please join in this honorable tradition by sponsoring a coat for one of our veterinary students with your $100 gift today!
Budget Breakdown:
This project will sponsor the white lab coats and the white coat ceremony our veterinary students participate in prior to starting their fourth year. With a class size of 100 students, your gift of $100 honors the hard work of one student and makes possible the purchase and embroidery of their own white coat while also supporting the white coat ceremony costs and needs of our veterinary students.
Funds will be placed in the Academic Affairs Fund. If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, exceeds the project need, or the project cannot be completed, the funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the Academic Affairs Program.
Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
