Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Wolfpack Styled Professional Clothing Closet, operated by the NC State Career Development Center, provides students with the professional attire needed for an interview, a career fair, a conference or the first week of work. The clothing is generously donated by faculty, staff, alumni and employers to help students succeed.
We would like to enhance the work of the Professional Clothing Closet by creating a fund for under-resourced students so they can purchase new professional apparel that would otherwise be difficult to afford. This opportunity would be made available to NC State students receiving need-based financial aid. We would establish an application process, and our goal would be to give 20 students a $250 stipend to purchase a full professional outfit. In addition to providing the funds, we will also provide each student with guidance in selecting and purchasing their outfit.
Budget Breakdown:
We would support 20 students at $250 each to purchase a new professional outfit.
Funds will be placed in the Career Development Center Enhancement Fund. If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, exceeds the project need, or the project cannot be completed, the funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the Wolfpack Styled Professional Clothing Closet Program.
Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
