Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Crafts Center Wood Studio provides a space for students to work on woodworking, woodturning, carving and other related projects. Wood lathes and their accompanying programming are a major facet to our studio, but our current lathes are obsolete. We can no longer purchase replacement parts for the equipment, which is why the goal of this campaign is to purchase eight new lathes for our woodturning program.
The new lathes will not only allow our students to continue exploring art and craft through woodworking but will also bring our turning technology to a newer, more flexible standard. Participants in our workshops will be able to accomplish more, better-finished products in a wider variety with access to these updated tools.
Budget Breakdown:
$729 per Lathe with a goal of 8 lathes
Funds will be placed in the Crafts Center Enhancement Fund. If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, exceeds the project need, or the project cannot be completed, the funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the Crafts Center Enhancement Fund.
Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
