After 37 years of dedicated service to the arts at NC State University, Sharon Moore has decided to embark on a new chapter in her life: retirement. As we honor her extraordinary achievements as director of NC State LIVE, we recognize the significant impact she has had on the arts on campus, in the community and across the state.
Sharon's professional legacy will not only be measured by the countless memorable performances she has brought to the stage but also by the lives she has touched and the enduring relationships she has built along the way. Her passion for the arts, coupled with her boundless enthusiasm and warmth, has inspired a generation of artists, arts administrators, and arts enthusiasts. Beyond the university, she has provided many years of volunteer board service to the North Carolina Presenters Consortium (she was a founder in 1991), Arts North Carolina, Arts Access, and the Association for Performing Arts Professionals.
As we bid farewell to Sharon, we express our deepest gratitude for her vision, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the arts. Her indelible impact on the NC State LIVE performing arts series will forever be cherished. Let us come together to celebrate her extraordinary legacy and ensure that her passion for the arts continues to inspire generations to come!
